Explanation

The stewards found Sergio Pérez (Car 11) wholly at fault for a collision with Fernando Alonso (Car 14) at Turn 3 during the Sprint. Pérez attempted an overtake on the inside but had not established his front axle alongside Alonso's mirror before or at the apex, resulting in contact with Alonso's right-rear and causing Alonso to spin. A 10-second time penalty was imposed.
