Monaco Grand Prix • Infringement
Published Jun 6, 2026 15:45
Summary
Several drivers had lap times deleted in qualifying for failing to use the track at Turns 1, 10, and 16.
Explanation
During qualifying, multiple drivers—most notably George Russell, Sergio Pérez, and Alexander Albon—had lap times deleted for not using the track correctly at Turns 1, 10, and 16. The stewards determined this breached L4.2.c of the FIA International Sporting Code and B1.8.6 of the FIA F1 Regulations. As a result, the affected lap times were deleted per S12.4.1.e. Teams were reminded of their right to appeal within the prescribed time limits.
