Explanation

During the Sprint session, Nico Hülkenberg (Car 27) left the track at Turn 13 while defending against Liam Lawson (Car 30) and rejoined without relinquishing position, gaining a lasting advantage. The Stewards determined this a breach of B1.8.6, which prohibits gaining an advantage by leaving the track. A 10-second time penalty was issued, in line with the Driving Standards Guidelines. Video, telemetry, and in-car evidence supported the decision.
