Explanation
Pierre Gasly (Car 10) was found to have unnecessarily impeded Lance Stroll (Car 18) at Turn 15 during qualifying. Gasly was on an in lap and remained on the racing line at slow speed, forcing Stroll to take evasive action. Despite a radio failure and unfortunate circumstances, the Stewards ruled that Gasly had dashboard information to know Stroll was on a timed lap and thus bore responsibility. The standard penalty of a 3 grid position drop was imposed.
