During Free Practice 1, Car 30 (Liam Lawson) stopped on track due to a hydraulic leak from a ruptured joint, causing the Clutch Disengagement System (CDS) to fail. The CDS did not release the clutch when activated by marshals, preventing the car from being moved and resulting in a red flag. The Stewards found a breach of C9.3 due to the system's non-compliance. The team was fined €30,000 (€20,000 suspended for 12 months). The Stewards noted prior warnings in 2025 about the CDS design and highlighted issues with marshal training, including incorrect button activation and attempted pushing of the car. Reference was made to the FIA Single Seater Recovery Specifications, with a recommendation for practical training supplementation.
