Summary
Sprint scrutineering report for the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix confirms all cars comply with technical regulations after pre- and post-event checks.
Explanation
The FIA Technical Delegate conducted comprehensive technical checks before and after the Sprint at the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix. Pre-Sprint, digital scans of rear corners (cars 10 and 43) and rear wing/tail (car 44) were compared to declared CAD drawings and verified for compliance. Clutch paddle linearity was tested on cars 63, 12, and 03. On the grid, tyre fitting, heating blanket disconnection, tyre temperatures (on 11 cars), and minimum starting pressures (all cars) were verified. Post-Sprint, all cars were weighed and found compliant. Aerodynamic and bodywork components on cars 81 (Piastri) and 16 (Leclerc) were inspected against multiple C-section technical regulations (e.g., floor, nose, wings, bodywork). Numerous power unit, ERS, and sensor systems—including fuel flow, engine cooling, turbo speed, MGU-K limits, brake controls, and torque coordination—were checked across all cars. The formation lap speed limit (80 km/h) and front/rear wing adjuster transition times were also confirmed. All checks passed, confirming conformity with the 2026 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
