Explanation
During Free Practice 3, Oscar Piastri (Car 81) was found to have unnecessarily impeded Nico Hülkenberg (Car 27) into Turn 15 while warming tyres on the straight. Despite receiving a team warning and seeing Hülkenberg in mirrors, Piastri misjudged the closing speed. He attributed the error partly to limitations in the 2026 virtual mirror system's refresh rate. The Stewards issued a warning, the standard penalty for such an infringement in practice sessions.
