Penalty for Stroll

Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team fined €7,500 for releasing Car 18 (Stroll) with wheel covers still fitted during Qualifying.

Car 18 (Lance Stroll) was released from the garage during Qualifying with wheel covers still attached. While en route to the track, both outer and inner wheel covers dislodged—one during pit exit and another on-track. The Stewards determined this violated Article B1.6.2b.i of the FIA F1 Regulations, as the car was released in an unsafe condition. The team admitted a lapse in its pre-release inspection process. A fine of €7,500 was imposed, increased due to the second component detaching while the car was on track, posing potential danger. The decision was based on video, radio, and in-car evidence.
