Reprimand for Sainz for crossing white line at pit entry

Carlos Sainz received a reprimand for crossing the white line at pit entry during Free Practice 1, after he passed the bollard at safety car line 1 and then rejoined the track.

During Free Practice 1, Carlos Sainz (Car 55) passed to the right of the bollard at safety car line 1, which, per Race Director's Event Notes item 15.2, deemed him to have entered the pit lane. He then turned left across the painted line and rejoined the track, breaching Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 4. The team gave him a late counter-instruction to return to the track to recharge energy. The Stewards found the manoeuvre not dangerous but imposed a reprimand, noting the rule exists to prevent inherently dangerous situations. This is Sainz's first reprimand of the season.
