2026 Australian Grand Prix

Published

Summary

Stewards took no further action against Pierre Gasly for collision with Esteban Ocon at Turn 3.

Explanation

Contact occurred between Gasly (Car 10) and Ocon (Car 31) at Turn 3 during the Race. Stewards reviewed video and in-car evidence, determining that Gasly had front axle ahead of Ocon’s mirror prior to and at the apex, and was driving in a controlled manner. Per Appendix L, Chapter IV, Art 2(d), Gasly was entitled to racing room, but Ocon was already committed to the corner. No driver was found predominantly at fault, so no further action was taken.
