Summary
Restricted Periods 1 and 2 do not apply due to force majeure caused by travel and freight disruptions.
Explanation
Due to force majeure stemming from ongoing travel and freight disruptions affecting event preparation, the FIA Formula One Race Director, in consultation with the Stewards, has confirmed that the restrictions under Articles B9.5.1a and B9.5.1b of the F1 Sporting Regulations — known as Restricted Period 1 and Restricted Period 2 — will not apply for the 2026 Australian Grand Prix. This allows teams additional operational flexibility during the event.
