During qualifying, several drivers exceeded the 1:29.0 time limit between Safety Car lines. The Stewards reviewed timing, marshalling, and video data, concluding that all drivers maintained sufficient speed over most of the circuit and slowed appropriately to avoid impeding others. As they did not drive 'unnecessarily slowly', no penalties were issued despite the breach of B1.8.5 and L12.2.1.i.
