Fernando Alonso must start the race from the pit lane due to unauthorized Power Unit element replacements during Parc fermé.

Fernando Alonso's car (Car 14) had three Power Unit elements replaced during Parc fermé without FIA approval: the 4th Energy Store (ES), 4th Control Electronics Unit (PU-CE), and 4th MGU-K. This violates B8.2.2 and B8.2.3, which restrict PU component usage and require approval for changes under Parc fermé. As a result, per B3.5.3 a., the driver must start from the pit lane. Although the cumulative grid penalty totals 30 places (10 per element), exceeding the 15-place threshold under B2.5.4.b.iv would normally send him to the back of the grid, the pit lane start takes precedence due to the unauthorized changes. The decision is final unless appealed under the applicable FIA procedures.
