The stewards investigated Car 27 (Nico Hülkenberg) for allegedly leaving the track and gaining an advantage at Turn 2 on Lap 1. Video, telemetry, timing, and positioning data showed Hülkenberg rejoining behind Car 41 (Arvid Lindblad) and ahead of Car 43 (Franco Colapinto) after going off at Turn 1. Given the close racing and context of a first-lap incident, the stewards determined no lasting advantage was gained and took no further action. Regulation B1.8.6 (overtaking rules) was cited.
