Car 27 (Hülkenberg) issued a warning for failing to follow Race Director's instructions by driving slowly in the tunnel during qualifying.

During qualifying, Nico Hülkenberg (Car 27) was driving slowly on a cool-down lap in the tunnel, ahead of Charles Leclerc (Car 16) who was on a preparation lap. The stewards found that Hülkenberg’s team incorrectly informed him that it was 'all clear behind,' leading to a breach of L12.2.1.i of the International Sporting Code regarding failure to follow Race Director instructions. The team was issued a warning based on telemetry, video, and radio evidence. Competitors may appeal within designated time limits per Article 15.
