Doc 32 - Decision - Car 30 - Alleged leaving the pitlane after the end of the session

Liam Lawson (Car 30) exited pit lane under red light in FP1 but received no penalty due to mitigating circumstances.

During Free Practice 1, Liam Lawson (Car 30, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls) exited the pit lane as the exit light turned red. The stewards reviewed evidence including team radio, video, and timing data. Lawson reported he was relying on a non-official countdown clock above the pit exit, which still showed two seconds remaining. The stewards acknowledged the lack of synchronization between this clock and the official light, and noted Lawson had insufficient time to stop safely without entering the live track. Citing Article B1.6.3e breach but considering mitigating factors, no penalty was imposed.
